Sac Family Connect – Sherry's Story

  • Sherry was homeless with her husband and one-year-old child.  She shared that although they loved their baby they knew that not having a home was greatly impacting their baby.

After receiving assistance to obtain housing, she was able to focus on the “Parents As Teachers” curriculum to ensure her child’s healthy development and well-being.

Both Sherry and her husband were helped with job training resources and were able to find a job.

Sac Family Connect – Debbie's Story

  • “When I came home from the hospital after giving birth to my premature baby I didn’t even have a crib.

I am so happy to have been connected to the Safe Sleep Baby workshop.

I received a crib and learned how to put my child to sleep safely.

If I had not received this information I could have put my child at risk. Thank you!”

Debbie received services from the Folsom Cordova Community Partnership
